Philly Retail Floor
89,000 Sq Ft
This project posed a number of challenges. It was an old Kmart from 1972, and along the way someone convinced them to bead blast the entire floor which created rail lines where the bead blasting wand overlapped. Basically, an indentation in the concrete. Then someone decided to add a red resin to the floor in areas where the concrete was not level or lower and all of this was done just to put VCT back over the floor that originally had VCT. We were tasked with removing the red resin, grinding out the bead blast rails as best we could, polishing to an 800 grit shine, and applying a stain protector.
